Kaminoseki Nuclear Plant - Interference with construction will be fined 700.000 Yen

The Chugoku Electric Power Company filed indirect enforcement against the regional opposition groups that interfere with the construction of Kaminoseki Nuclear Plant in Prefecture Yamaguchi.
March 25, Yamaguchi District Court decided that interference will be fined 700.000 Yen.

Takashi Yamado, a spokesman of the opposition group said "The construction project was implemented and we had no chance to make our voice heard. The residents' rights or opinions are ignored". The group will appeal against decision.

Last year, The Chugoku Electric Power Company alleged against the opposition group to demand a penalty of 9.35 million Yen per day for interfering with the construction. Iwakuni District Court admit to the allegation, and decided to issue a fine of 5 million Yen per day.
